The day after Valentine's Day...

While the flowers are still fresh on the table a new day starts but hopefully the one before was full of love and fun. Don't worry its only once a year, but that reminds me Mother's Day is only a blink away.

Fleur Jolie ~ A Key West Florist

Every year two weeks before Easter the NYC Macy's has an amazing flower show. They bring in some of the most well known floral and event designers. Last year Martha Stewart hosted the ribbon cutting ceremony and introduced the first "larger than life" creative centerpiece arrangement to be displayed down the main front aisle of one of the most famous storefronts in the world. Here in Key West where February sees many a warm days with beautiful flowers blooming all winter long, floral designer Natalie Wood from Fleur Jolie, 1100 Truman Ave (fleurjoliedesigns.com) will be recreating her own lifesize center piece to go in her storefront window. "Designing floral arrangements is an art which I enjoy," says owner Natalie Wood who encourages anyone to come by and see her work. The unveiling of the Valentines Day storefront window will be later this month.
